William Reilly started his 23 year career as a civil trial and appellate attorney at California Rural Legal Assistance, Central Litigation Unit, San Francisco. He specializes in a wide range of civil litigation, including personal injury, wrongful and accidental death, all aspects of insurance including "bad faith" claims, and group benefit claims governed by ERISA including Disability, Severance and Pension group benefits. Mr. Reilly has represented hundreds of clients, small businesses, individuals, and large Fortune 500 corporations in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
Mr. Reilly worked for 20 years as a traditional "defense" lawyer in the civil litigation arena. This "defense" experience allows Mr. Reilly to have an insightful perspective of the mindset of the defendant and its counsel regarding litigation and settlement strategy.
He met Mr. Kalkin and Mr. Roboostoff in 1997 when their law offices were on the same floor in an office building in downtown San Francisco. Soon thereafter they had cases representing adverse clients and, despite this, became great friends. When Mr. Reilly decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his career representing only plaintiffs, he was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Mr. Kalkin and Mr. Roboostoff.
